Helping families Connect
In order to assist schoolchildren who don't have access to broadband internet at home, the Australian government is undertaking some very innovative initiatives. They have established the School Students Broadband Program, which offers qualified families free internet until 30 June 2028.
Your family must have a child who is presently enrolled in school and reside in a region served by the nbn® network in order to qualify. Also, you cannot already have a broadband connection at home. To check your eligibility, reach out to the National Referral Centre on Anglicare Victoria's website. If eligible, you will receive a code to use at service providers like us!
With this effort, we want to make it easier for more students to connect and access the tools they need to succeed in school.
What's included in the program?
Free internet at your home
nbn® 50/20 unlimited data plan (or equivalent) at your home address until 30 June 2028.
Free installation by an nbn® technician
If required, an nbn® technician will come to your home to connect you to the nbn®.
Free nbn® compatible modem/router
Our modems come preconfigured to your connection type, so all you need to do is plug it in!

Check if you are eligible
Contact the National Referral Centre for an eligibility check on 1800 954 610 (Mon-Fri, 10am-6pm AEDT), or by visiting anglicarevic.org.au/student-internet.

Receive your unique code from the National Referral Centre
The code should start with LOC followed by a series of numbers - e.g. LOC1234567.
