We do not have any standard connection fees for our nbn® services. If you are in a new housing development or opt to have a new line connected you may be liable for an additional charge as dictated by the nbn®. This will be displayed before confirming your order.

The majority of Australians will have to move their phone across to the nbn® as the current infrastructure providing a landline service will be switched off 18 month after the nbn® becomes available. You will still be able to retain the same home phone number by porting it onto our new home phone plans but will be required to connect your phone handset via your modem.

Depending on the nbn® technology you're connected to, you may be able to keep your landline using the existing copper connection.

Our NF20MESH gateway is a modem/router that is suitable for all fixed line connection types and supports a new generation of connectivity with Wi-Fi 6. Wi-Fi 6 gives you up to four times more device capacity than Wi-Fi 5. Pair our NF20MESH with the NS-02 Mesh Satellite points for greater Wi-Fi coverage if you have dead spots in your property.

It depends if you're already connected to the nbn® or not.

If you're already connected to the nbn®, installation typically happens within 1-5 days. However, in some cases, it can be even quicker than that.

If you've never been connected to the nbn®, you'll likely need an nbn® tech appointment. The timeframe for that is usually 2-4 weeks. The nbn® technician will come to your property to install any equipment. Then we can connect your service.

Aussie Broadband is offering $0 Fibre to The Premises (FTTP) fibre upgrades as part of the nbn®-run initiative Fibre Connect. These upgrades are offered to select eligible addresses with FTTN or FTTC when upgrading to an eligible high-speed plan.

You're eligible if:

• You're on FTTN and sign up to a 100/20 or a higher nbn® plan
• You're on FTTC and sign up to a 250/25 or a higher nbn® plan

The existing copper lines used for FTTN and FTTC don't support these ultrafast speeds. However, you'll be able to take advantage of ultrafast nbn® plans (typical evening speed 875Mbps) with this type of upgrade. High-speed tiers are great if you're gaming or streaming content. Also, the fibre upgrade can boost your connection reliability even more.

The offer is subject to service qualification and it's not available at all premises. Extra external costs could apply with this upgrade in some cases. For example, if extra infrastructure (e.g. trenching and conduit) is needed prior to completing installation, costs may apply. Additional external costs may apply. The speeds available to you depend on the nbn® technology type. HFC and FTTP offer much faster speeds than FTTN and Fixed Wireless.

If you're on FTTN, you might be able to access faster speeds with a $0 fibre upgrade. You can check your eligibility for the upgrade here or by calling our friendly onshore team on 1300 880 905.

The speed of your nbn® connection will depend on the technology type in your area, your modem/router, and your plan. Actual speeds may also vary due to external factors, such as in-building wiring.

In some areas with Fibre to the Node (FTTN) technology, you could unlock faster speeds by upgrading to Fibre to the Premises (FTTP). See if you can access a $0 fibre upgrade here.
